Russia Collusion Hoaxer Working In DOJ’s National Security Division Discounted The Durham Report
The Russia collusion hoaxer who joined the Department of Justice’s National Security Division prematurely discounted special counsel John Durham’s investigation as a partisan decision that would not yield results.
Shortly after former Attorney General William Barr chose Durham to lead a special investigation into the origins of the Russia hoax, Susan Hennessey wrote in a now-deleted tweet that she did not have confidence that the special counsel would find anything, despite evidence that the FBI spied on the Trump campaign and used false intelligence to apply for spy warrants.
“Durham has made abundantly clear that in a year and a half, he hasn’t come up with anything,” Hennessey wrote. “I guess this kind of partisan silliness has become characteristic of Barr’s legacy, but unclear to me why Durham would want to go along with it.”
It is still unclear if Hennessey’s new role at DOJ will put the Durham probe under her purview, but Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland previously refused a pledge to abstain from the investigation. He also refused to commit to releasing the Durham report.
“If confirmed, would you commit to publicly releasing special counsel Durham’s report just like Mueller’s report [was] made public?” asked ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee Sen. Chuck Grassley.
“I am a great believer in transparency,” Garland said in response. “I would, though, have to talk with Mr. Durham and understand the nature of what he’s been doing and the nature of the report.”
In addition to expressing doubt about the Durham report, Hennessey, who formerly worked for Democrat think tank and Russia collusion hoax organization the Brookings Institution, deleted hundreds of rants peddling lies about Michael Flynn, Carter Page, and FISA, boosting the Steele dossier, and pushing other leftist collusion talking points.
