Threat To Democracy

Published

on

The prevailing theme on the news outlets today is the constant mention of “A THREAT TO DEMOCRACY.”

Democracy represents a system of government where the power lies with the people or the general population. According to the framers of the Constitution, the only legitimate form of government should derive its authority solely from the people.

We are a Constitutional Republic. The Republic part implies the people hold the power, elect their representatives, and elect a president.

If you’re confused about what we have here in America, it’s a Republic. “I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and for the REPUBLIC for which it stands.

The problem is that you would have to be a member of the walking dead to believe the elected representatives could care less about what the American people want.

With Congress having an approval rating of only 16% and a mere 6 to 10 Americans trusting the electoral process, it’s hard to believe we are truly living in a democracy. Only 37% of Americans believe the 2024 elections will be both “honest and open” to rightful voters, while 43% have serious doubts about their honesty, openness or both.  Nearly two-thirds of the public believe disinformation from the news media and social media will affect the outcome of the voting. These statistics, in my opinion, are evidence that a true democracy seems impossible.

Instances like Andrew McCabe’s confirmation of a Deep State agenda against Trump, a former President facing trials in what seems like a biased environment, and reports of intelligence agents spreading misinformation, all contribute to a growing skepticism about democratic principles and processes.

Apart from the challenges, the influence of misinformation and bias in mainstream media and social platforms poses an additional threat to democracy.  The digital age has exacerbated this issue, making it difficult for individuals to discern credible journalism from sensationalized or false information.  With an overload of information, critical thinking and media literacy have become vital skills to navigate today’s information landscape.

Furthermore, the dominance of liberal-leaning tech giants like Facebook, Twitter, and Google, who have favored one political ideology and even restricted access to certain voices, raises concerns about the neutrality of these platforms.  Events such as sudden revenue cuts from PayPal and actions against certain political figures, underscore the potential manipulation within these digital spaces.

As of June 21, 2024, President Joe Biden has signed 139 executive orders, 185 President memoranda, 627 proclamations, and 129 notices.  That is a dictator.

Let’s analyze this line by line. The idea of citizens selecting representatives to advance their interests, is it really happening? If that’s the case, then why is there a 16% approval rating? How many times have politicians made empty promises or deliberately misled the public? They claim to consult with various interest groups and members of the public, but is that truly the case?

Here’s a question to ponder: who receives more priority, a donor contributing $25.00 or a group donating millions? Personally, I have sent numerous letters and emails to politicians without receiving any response. These are the things they all say when seeking votes, I’m here for you. My personal Senator, Mark Kelly in Arizona said, when I get in office, I will close the border in Arizona and draft a bill for term limits. Yeah! That happened. DEMOCRACY

Now, let’s talk about democracy and the representatives who act on our behalf. Here is a list of what the American people want, which our President and Congress seem to ignore. I may have missed some examples, but the ones provided are enough to prove that we do not have a democracy.

  • 70% of Americans believe we shouldn’t provide benefits to undocumented immigrants.
  • 65% of Americans disagree with punishing those who refuse vaccines.
  • 75% to 85% of Americans do not support reparations.
  • 80% of Americans want voter ID requirements, including 79% of Black individuals.
  • 65% of voters want cognitive testing for older politicians.
  • 85% of Americans want to know who visited Epstein’s Island.
  • 73% of Americans support tariffs in China.
  • 85% of Americans want a secured border.
  • 56% of Americans oppose forgiving student loans.
  • 68% of Americans desired a special council for Hunter Biden.
  • 90% of Americans want to stop insider trading in Congress.
  • 65% of Americans want to retain Title 42 at the border.
  • 70% of Americans believe Congress should investigate the origins of the Justice Department’s inquiry into Russian interference in the 2016 Election.
  • 79% of Americans favor merit-based immigration.
  • 75% of people are against the “SCOTUS Mobs.”
  • 80% of Americans believed masks shouldn’t have been mandatory.
  • 92% of Americans feel their rights are under threat.
  • 71% of Americans believe that political correctness has stifled important discussions.
  • 80% of people lack faith in the government’s ability to do what’s right.
  • 70% of Americans have a negative view of China.
  • 72% of Americans believe citizens have the right to own guns for self-defense.
  • 68% of Americans agree that political correctness has become a significant issue in the country.
  • 82% of Americans oppose abolishing the Second Amendment.
  • 63% of Americans are worried about the legitimacy of the balloting of the upcoming 2024 election. The most likely source of these falsehoods is expected to be social media and the news media. Don’t forget, 95% of the media is Liberal. Doesn’t that sound like Democracy?
  •                                 Additional Threats to Democracy.
  • Facebook deciding what they think is important, and one-sided fact-checkers.
  • 9 Billionaires controlling 90% of the media.
  • Unelected officials like the World Economic Forum telling the rich that we can run the world.
  • Giving up our sovereignty to the Corrupt World Health Organization.
  • Politicians getting rich on Insider trading that has never been stopped.
  • 51 Intel agents lying to the American People about Russian disinformation.
  • The Mainstream media that is 95% Liberals have stated that they are the new 4 branch of the government.
  • A Political Party that lied about collusion with the Hunter Biden Laptop, J6, Presidents Mental health and covered up by the bias News Media and social media. Now, that isn’t Democracy.
  • Google and Facebooks Election Interference. Democracy at its finest.

The most significant threat to democracy stems from activist judges, a corrupt FBI and CIA, biased social media platforms, and one-sided journalism. Unfortunately, mainstream media outlets seldom shed light on these issues since they are often influenced by the state. Who gets the opportunity to challenge those in power? The media? The answer, quite simply, is no one.

In conclusion, the examples from surveys show most opinions surpassing 60%. Even without the polling numbers between 50% and 55%, it is evident that we are far from being a Democracy, or Republic.  It is abundantly clear that neither the President nor Congress truly cares about the views of the American people. One thing remains certain: politicians continue to amass wealth while the American population gets poorer. Some things never change, except now politicians listen more to big money, lobbyist and special interest than to American citizens.

Have you noticed that you never hear the News Outlets say: “We hold the powerful accountable.”  I guess that lie has been said so many times they don’t believe it.
